WATERFRONT

The Waterfront at Camp Lenox is one of the most loved parts of camp, and it’s easy to see why. Lenox sits 1,700 feet above sea level on a pristine freshwater lake called Shaw Pond, giving campers a true lakefront experience in the Berkshires. From calm mornings on the water to action-packed afternoons behind the ski boats, the Waterfront has something for every kind of camper.

The Waterfront program is supervised by the attentive eyes of JJ (James Johnston), our 42-year Waterfront Director. JJ personally cross-trains all waterfront staff and leads one of the most dynamic programs at camp. Campers are supported by a team that knows how to teach, how to supervise, and how to keep the lake feeling both exciting and safe.

A camper might arrive hesitant to swim in a lake, then leave feeling comfortable, capable, and proud. Others come in ready to chase a new challenge, and find it in skiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, or sailing. Either way, the lake becomes part of their summer story.

Waterskiing and wakeboarding are two of the biggest highlights of the Lenox Waterfront, and our setup makes it possible for campers to learn quickly and safely.

For our intermediate and advanced skiiers and wakeboarders, we offer an exciting Twilight Ski/Wakeboard program, where campers can hone their skills during the prime Berkshire "Golden Hour."

THE WIBIT

The Wibit is one of the busiest spots on the lake. It’s a floating obstacle course and trampoline that campers can’t get enough of, with climbing, bouncing, sliding, and challenges that keep the energy high all day.
